EVENT DESCRIPTION
Join us at the Wheldon Road Stadium, Castleford, on Friday 31st May 2024, for a brilliant evening with Paul Reaney and Duncan McKenzie
Paul Reaney made 745 first-team appearances for Leeds United between 1962 to 1978, winning the Second Division Championship in 1963-4, the First Divison Championship in 1968-9 and 1973-4, the League Cup in 1968, the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup in 1968 and 1971 and the FA Cup in 1972. In all, Paul won seven major trophies for Leeds under Don Revie's management, plus the Charity Shield in 1969, as well as playing for England on three occasions. Paul was also unfortunately a runner-up in all major domestic and European competitions with Leeds.
Duncan McKenzie started his career with Nottinham Forest, and was signed for Leeds by Brian Clough during his 44-day reign as manager of Leeds, and was the only one of his signings to subsequently flourish at the club, scoring a goal almost every other match on average. Duncan was an unused substitute for the contoversial 1975 European Cup Final defeat to Bayern Munich
The evening will initially consist of Paul and Duncan sharing with you stories about their lives and careers at Elland Road and beyond, as well as no doubt their views on the current Leeds team and their prospects.
